my sculpture inspired by two john keats poems, which i grafted lines from each to create this:

bright star! would i were

steadfast as thou art

                   can death be sleep when

                   life is but a dream?

       not in lone slendour

       hung aloft in the night

and scenes of bliss pass as a phantom by

and watching, with eternal lids apart

the transiet pleasures as a vision see

the moving waters at their preistlike task

and yet we think the greatest pain’s to die

of pure ablution round earth’s human shores.

how strange it is that a man on earth should roam

upon the mountains and the moors

his rugged path nor dare he view alone

no- yet still steadfast, still unchangeable

his future which is but to wake

pillowed upon my fair love’s ripening breast

to feel forever it’s soft swell and fall

awake forever in a sweet unrest

still, still to hear her tender taken breath

and so live ever- or else swoon to death
